From our perspective, there is no choice. We simply must address the growing build-up of environmentally damaging plastic waste and reduce our dependence upon costly and difficult-to-extract oil reserves. If we can do both at the same time, it’s a win-win situation. If you’ve asked yourself, “Where can I recycle Styrofoam?”, the answer is Agilyx. The Agilyx process:
Our Polystyrene-to-Styrene Monomer Technology takes polystyrene, or plastics recycle #6, and produces styrene oil.
Our Mixed Plastics-to-Crude Technology takes in all types of plastics (i.e. resins 1 to 7) and contaminants and produces saleable crude oil with a process-to-energy ratio in excess of 6 to 1 and minimal emissions. A typical Agilyx system recycles 50 tons of plastic waste and produces up to 300 barrels (12,600 gallons) of oil a day. Imagine those numbers increasing ten-fold as we increase our installations in the coming months and years.
