Leading European Recycling Platform

GreenDot builds assets and systems that close the loop on plastics, turning even hard-to-recycle waste streams into high-quality recyclates. Its portfolio spans plastics recycling, sorting, EPR licensing, and consulting on EPR systems and design-for-recycling.

The foundations go back 35 years to Der Grüne Punkt in Germany, creator of the world's first nationwide EPR programme for household packaging. The group has since broadened steadily and today operates facilities across Germany, Austria, France, Italy and Spain, with its network still expanding.

Three operating segments

GreenDot combines Extended Producer Responsibility, mechanical recycling, and chemical recycling into an integrated value chain with structural access to plastic waste volumes and increasing earnings visibility.
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)
Under EU and German law, producers placing packaging on the market are responsible for its collection, sorting and recycling. They can transfer this obligation to a licensed "dual system" operator such as GreenDot in exchange for licensing fees.

GreenDot manages this for more than 90,000 customers in Germany, processing around 1 million tonnes of packaging waste a year. Revenue is volume-driven and regulated rather than tied to industrial cycles, making EPR GreenDot's stable, cash-generating core. Through a partnership with oSapiens, GreenDot also offers the first AI-driven, cloud-based EPR reporting platform across the EU-27 under PPWR.

Mechanical Recycling (MR)
GreenDot's mechanical recycling segment turns sorted plastic waste into certified recycled pellets, granulates, and flakes, capturing margin on the material itself rather than a fixed licensing fee. Facilities span Germany, France, Italy, and Spain.

Output capacity has grown 2.5x in a year through self-funded M&A. As EU rules push demand for recycled content higher, segment EBITDA is forecast to grow from EUR 6m in 2026 to EUR 21m in 2028.

Chemical Recycling Feedstock (CR)
GreenDot prepares hard-to-recycle plastic as qualified feedstock for Europe's emerging advanced recycling plants, under long-term supply agreements with the industry.

EU regulation now formally recognizes chemical recycling as a viable recycling pathway, and announced recycling plants across Europe will require qualified feedstock to operate. GreenDot has secured 20kt of long-term supply agreements today, with capacity to scale to 38kt as this market develops.

Positioned ahead of an accelerating demand shift

GreenDot's EBITDA is set to grow substantially through 2028, supported by structural, regulation-driven demand for recycled plastic in Europe and by GreenDot's continued build-out across its recycling platform.
