Agilyx AS (AGLX) - New project under development for Commercial Scale Polystyrene Chemical Recycling Facility in Southern Europe with leading petrochemical company

July 13, 2022

– Agilyx (Euronext Growth Oslo: AGLX.OL; OTCQX:AGXXF) announced today it is beginning the first stage of engineering (FEL1) with a leading global petrochemical company to develop a full commercial scale polystyrene chemical recycling facility using the Agilyx technology platform.

“This partnership highlights the strong demand that we are seeing for an integrated approach to managing waste plastic,” stated Tim Stedman, CEO of Agilyx. “Our proven pyrolysis technology has the capability to make waste plastics circular. At the appropriate stage of the project development we will also leverage the feedstock management capabilities of Cyclyx, ensuring access to custom-tailored waste plastic recipes to create new, high-quality products.”

FEL 1 is the first step in the development of a process design package. This phase will be a joint effort between Agilyx and its partner with an objective of creating a design package for a full commercial scale polystyrene chemical recycling plant.

About Agilyx
Agilyx is a technology company that enables customers to recycle difficult-to-recycle post-use plastics to high value, virgin-equivalent products. With a focus on diversion and conversion of plastic waste, Agilyx is uniquely positioned with a molecular recycling technology offering and an integrated feedstock solution by way of Cyclyx, an innovative feedstock management consortium of partners that drives up global plastic recycling rates by chemically fingerprinting plastic waste and matching it to appropriate recycling processes. Agilyx was the first to establish a commercial scale closed loop plastic-to-plastic chemical recycling facility and holds over 17 patents. Agilyx conversion technology utilizes pyrolysis without a catalyst and can convert mixed waste plastic to naphtha and fuels or depolymerize specific plastics such as polystyrene and PMMA (acrylic) back into virgin-quality products.
