The Cyclyx Graphic Designer is a visual problem solver with a passion for creating original work across various mediums including print, digital, and social media platforms. S/he will possess a strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques to create visually stunning graphics that captivate the B2B and B2C audiences. S/he will collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop and execute design concepts that effectively communicate the company's brand identity and support marketing and promotional initiatives. Our desired candidate will also be a collaborative self-starter who leads concurrent time-sensitive design campaigns and assists in translating marketing goals into appealing creative. 


Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with internal teams, including other designers, copywriters, Marketing stakeholders, and others during the concept phase through the completion of a project.
  • Works with external vendors and partners as required to fulfill joint design projects.
  • Produces a wide variety of content and creative deliverables, both digital and printed, including, but not limited to:

         o Social media graphics and animations

         o Print and digital ads

         o Video creation

         o Website content

         o Business collateral

         o Promotional materials; brochures, signage, etc.

  • Manages the design of our brands across all platforms and materials, ensuring they are represented correctly, professionally, and creatively. 
  • Designs consistent visuals using (and developing on) existing brand guidelines for multiple brands. 
  • Brainstorms with the team to come up with new ideas, patterns, and styles to visually represent the brands and work.
  • Provides innovative ideas, constantly elevating and evolving the creative.
  • Ability to transform knowledge into professional graphic concepts and high-level designs.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and shifting priorities, while maintaining the highest levels of commitment to good design principles and quality.
  • Solves complex design challenges to create intuitive and enjoyable experiences.
  • Working alongside our digital specialist, creates on-brand, intriguing graphics and visuals for social media posts, websites and support pages, and emails to grow brand awareness and gain user retention.
  • Responsible for digital asset management by upkeeping and organizing design files and creative material.
  • Showcases our pioneering capabilities through an innovative social media presence with creative design and videos.
  • Completes requested image edits, including resizing images to meet web requirements.
  • Works closely with the production team to ensure that the job is completed within time and cost constraints.
  • Maintains a pulse on new design trends and techniques, while keeping up with the latest technology in the industry.
  • Completes work to the best ability, checking for possible mistakes and making any corrections accordingly prior to submission.
  • Experience working with outside vendors/printers.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience with proven work and design experience as a successful illustrator, graphic designer, or similar role.
  • Professional experience with creative and visual communications either in-house or at an agency.
  • Proficient in using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.) and other programs.
  • Familiarity with and comfort in using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail so that work submitted has minimal flaws or errors. 
  • Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of printing processes and specifications is desirable.
  • Familiarity with web design (knowledge of basic HTML and CSS) and social media platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with content management software including Asana, Photoshop, and Flash.
  • Understands how to properly design and lay out a webpage to meet SEO Best Practices.
  • Demonstrable portfolio of completed illustrations that speak to both consumer and business audiences.
  • Experience in the environmental, recycling, plastics manufacturing, or other related commodities business preferred.

Education/Training

Associate or bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Graphic Arts or related Fine Arts field, or 6-8 years of relevant experience is required.

Regular Office Hours: 8:30am—5:00pm, plus occasional evening and weekend work to adhere to the ongoing news cycle.

Cyclyx Operations Manager

Role Overview

The Cyclyx Operations Manager oversees all operations of the Cyclyx Feedstock Processing Facility and is responsible for ensuring environmental, health and safety is the top priority. The Plant Manager manages the P&L, Production, Scheduling, Shipping & Receiving, Maintenance, Environmental Compliance, Health & Safety, Contractor/Vendor Relations, and Quality Control. The role is also responsible for all aspects of personnel management, including staffing, performance reviews, goal setting and progress monitoring, and discipline.


This position requires a strong, inspiring leader with strong interpersonal skills that can effectively build and sustain a high-performing operations team. Additionally, this is a very hands-on position. Therefore, the ideal candidate must be comfortable multi-tasking, be a self-starter, resourceful problem solver and a highly responsive team player.


Critical Requirements for Success

1. Progressive experience managing a similar manufacturing facility or warehousing operation

2. Leadership in ensuring best possible safety culture for employees and both the facility and operation is compliant in meeting occupational health and process safety requirements and meets applicable safety and environmental regulations and laws

3. Record of success in delivering production objectives and managing budget

4. Maintains a high level of quality control by urgently rectifying issues and institute additional quality control checks and process as needed for continuous improvement

5. Ability to manage timeline, scheduling, and contractor work at the facility

6. Experience optimizing production of plant equipment and process flow within the facility

7. Provides solid leadership skills and hands-on interactions with plant staff to identify and resolve issues before they become problems and adequate coaching on preventing future similar issues

8. Demonstrated ability to develop and apply training for employees (developing their skills, abilities, and knowledge) to continuously improve performance and operations effectiveness

9. Ability to apply strong mechanical experience with understanding of extruders, gear boxes, etc.

10. Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis with Engineering, Operations, and EHS teams

11. Develop actionable plans from root cause analysis and drive implementation to achieve production goals on defined timeline

12. Plan, schedule, oversee implementation, and commission plant improvements with equipment vendors, contractors, and the plant operations team

13. Continuously identify areas of improvement for performance of the system, or reduction in required maintenance, and drive implementation of solutions

14. Assists in troubleshooting/tuning/improving:

o Plant Environmental, Health and Safety focus

o Operations reliability

o Equipment maintenance and uptime

15. Monitors plant operating costs and accurately provides cost projections.

16. Urgently identifies and acts to control, avoid and reduce costs as needed to remain within budget requirements


Requirements

Experience/Knowledge

· Minimum 5 yrs. experience in an operations management role with a min. of 10 years relevant experience in a similar field of work

· Excellent judgment regarding health, safety, environmental and fire protection risks with emphasis on injury prevention and business continuity.

· Experience managing P&Ls and budgets

· Experience managing vendors/contractors

· Experience evaluating and troubleshooting processing equipment

· Familiar with Management of Change (MOC)

Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer with Cyclyx, you will develop our innovative waste-plastic-feedstock-management facilities. Specifically, this role is responsible for working with our Owner’s Engineer and EPC firms to coordinate the design and construction of the Cyclyx Circularity Center (CCC)—a first-of-its-kind Advanced Plastics Recovery Facility (PRF) in Houston, TX. This Houston facility is designed and built by Cyclyx to provide plastic feedstock from post-use plastic that meets the requirements of mechanical recycling & chemical/advanced conversion technologies. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assume the bulk of the many project management responsibilities for the CCC, including detailed engineering review and contractor management.
  • Review Scope of Works, RFQ’s/RFP, & technical information from vendors.
  • Provide technical feedback on changes to the process.
  • Manage change orders.
  • Assist in the development of control schemes.
  • Joint development of SOPs, maintenance philosophy, capital spares, and working capital. 
  • Participate in the hiring of key plant personnel.
  • Participate in vendor assessment and selection.

Requirements

Experience/Knowledge 

  • Minimum 5 years with scaled-up recycling operations (MRFs/PRFs) and the equipment used in those operations.
  • Demonstrated capability to effectively and efficiently manage suppliers of contract engineering, construction, and equipment.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and maintenance strategies.
  • Employs exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills to ensure that designs developed internally and by third parties meet specifications for quality, performance, and safety.
  • Understanding of general finance, budgeting, and cost accounting methodologies with the ability to leverage this information to manage project risks.
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
  • Excellent judgment regarding health, safety, environmental guidelines, rules, and regulations as they pertain to equipment design and recycling operations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements as it pertains to equipment, recyclables, and facilities.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.

  • 4-year engineering degree (preferably mechanical) or equivalent work experience.

Business Development Lead

Our mission is to provide technical solutions for the chemical recycling of post-use plastics. Since its founding in 2020, Cyclyx has been a post-use plastic feedstock management company working with industry participants to develop innovative recycling solutions for all post-use plastics. The Cyclyx Lab in Portsmouth, NH, provides plastic testing services, supports Cyclyx Engineering and Business Development teams and carries out fundamental research & development to discover novel circular recycling pathways for plastics. 


The Business Development Lead will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships with new members while maintaining existing member relationships. Additionally, this role will collate and maintain membership information in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database and work closely with the internal staff to develop and implement growth strategies. The ability to be responsive and organized is critical. A professional presence and business sense are also required as this role will work closely with our member partners to develop future strategies and business opportunities. 


Responsibilities:

  • Provide Business Analysis support to the Member Engagement Team 
  • Set annual professional goals and objectives that support larger Member engagement Team and Cyclyx objectives
  • Conduct market research and identify potential consortium members
